Hub changes tack
Our goal has been to foster community spirit sustainably. We decided that it would be wiser to focus our energies on doing this with the resources that were available to us the park.
Building matters were left with the local Councillors. The Community Council are pursuing the inclusion of public softplay and a youth workshop in Council plans. More... |

Picnic in the Park On a sunny Sunday in June last year, 60 Bonnyrigg residents gathered for the Hub’s inaugural community ‘Picnic in the Park’. There was eating, racing, a good deal of sitting in the sun chatting with neighbours and an adults-versus-children tug-of-war, which the children won. First rejection
In May the Council officers turned down the bid citing financial concerns. However, two independent assessments proved these conclusions unfounded. After 12 months, 3400 volunteer hours, huge community pressure via press and emails, Councillors allowed a resubmission.

The Hub's Building Plan
